Crazy how much sense it makes to put a vs. between those words. Aren't they opposites? Like black and white? Yin and Yang?
Screw that. I'm gonna make this short.
Belief is nothing without reason and reason is nothing without belief. Not in the sense that opposites define each other but in the sense that they are part of one another. They are both the foundation to all human thought. They go together. No person can have reason without belief or belief without reason.
I'm gonna fix the divide. I'm gonna use the words interchangeably. Because they are. Truth is the belief of a human at a given moment in time. Reason never gets him there without beliefs' seal. And, well, we are all stuck being reasonable beings (with varying degrees of ability) so the idea of having faith without rationality and reason occurring at some level is nonsense.
And for the objection that rationality can achieve reason itself, take your foot and stick it firmly between your thin ass lips. Because if you even try that one on me I will rip your 'reason' apart every time you try to bring it into the room and your brain falls apart or you run away crying. You gotta get past that crap, if you need help, just keep talking to people about it. I like talking.
Fuse them everybody. Put back together what language never should have pulled apart.
